About Dave
My name is Dave Maycher and I live and farm in rural Alberta. Though I am a farmer at heart, I am a carpenter by trade and have worked in all areas of the construction industry over the last 40+ years. I have done it all from framing houses to completing intricate finishing work. Throughout my career I have always had an interest in rustic design and photography.
Ten years ago I began creating my unique picture frames from barn boards to showcase my photography. Since then I have created countless designs with re-used barn boards for my customers and have branched out into other home decor pieces. I have a great passion for my work and look forward to sharing them with you!

Community Events
You can find some of my work at local trade shows within Parkland County.
I also volunteer my time teaching wood-working with the Warden 4-H Club and assisting school children build bird houses. I continue to have strong ties to the Stony Plain Fish & Game Association and their Bluebird program. I feel strongly about supporting natural bluebird populations through building and maintaining their homes.
